MAPLE MAY – THE PATH

Maple trees are moisture seekers, their wet soil tolerance allows then to grow well.”

One of my hobbies is listening to music. Music helps me to calm down, it is an escape and sometimes it helps me to focus. Like right now as I type this, I am listening to Lauren Daigle`s Come Alive (Dry Bones). Usually the songs I listen to in the morning come to me during my morning devotion/Bible study. When I woke up this morning, I badly wanted to listen to What a beautiful name by Hillsong and indeed the message aligned with today`s You version verse of the day (Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe). I wanted to listen to a song about the name of Jesus and the verse of the day was about the Lord`s name. What a coincidence!

By the time I finished my devotion, Come Alive (Dry Bones) was at the back of my mind. We never get tired of reading God`s word and what I find interesting is how every time you read the same verse or passage, it speaks to you in a different/new way. God reads into our situation and directs us to where we need to be.

It doesn`t matter how many times you read a verse, or how many times you recite it, the message is always different. The message is different because the situation you’re in is different. God knows you, He sees you, He listens and He directs your path according to what you need.

Here I am trying to focus, to find balance, to find direction, and God knows that. Allow God to speak into your situation, He is the way, the truth and the life and He will guide you to where you need to be.

Do not see yourself through the eyes of man, discover yourself through God`s eyes and through your own eyes. Find yourself. Find yourself in Him.

What are you looking for? Where are you looking? How are you looking?

Stop searching in the wrong places. Allow yourself to be guided; by your instincts, by God, by your goals.

What`s important to you? Why is it important?  Allow yourself to find meaning and focus on what important and meaningful to you. It doesn’t have to be about you, it could be about other people. But it has to be meaningful.

You are strong, you are brilliant and you have the power to reach that goal. So don`t overthink, don’t judge yourself through anyone`s eyes, don’t doubt yourself, don’t give up because you are facing some challenges. Call out to those dry bones in your life, in your situation, the challenges, the failed plans, the complicated ideas. Focus on your abilities and open up to the possibilities that may be.

You might have given up on a certain chapter in your life, it could be a skill you thought had potential, it might be an idea you wanted to bring to life, find yourself again and  re-direct your path towards working on that chapter. Take that step and you`ll not only be further away from you were yesterday but also closer to where you want to be.

Maple trees are moisture seekers, their roots may infiltrate water pipes or sewer lines if they are planted above them.

Allow yourself to break free and find the path that will bring you closer to achieving your dreams and finding meaning in your life.

Come alive!
